1. What this policy covers

This Content Policy applies to everything you generate on Ellinica, private or public: every story, whether you keep it private or publish it, and anything you make visible to other users: stories you publish to the public library, comments on published stories, and your public profile (handle, avatar, bio, and any other publicly visible profile fields). Ellinica is built for families and learners of all ages, so the same rules on prohibited content (Section 2) apply the moment you generate a story, not only when you choose to make it public.

2. Prohibited content

You may not generate, publish, or use in your public profile, content that:

Is spam, off-topic, or not genuinely about learning or reading Greek. The public library exists for Greek-language stories and study material, not general-purpose publishing.
Is illegal, or promotes, facilitates, or instructs illegal or dangerous activity (including weapons, drugs, or other harm).
Harasses, threatens, or demeans a person or group, or constitutes hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
Is sexually explicit or gratuitously violent.
Depicts, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide.
Impersonates another person, brand, or organization, or is otherwise deliberately misleading about who created it.
Infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights.

3. Automated screening, at generation and at publishing

What you type to generate a story (a topic, a personalization detail, or text you paste to adapt) is automatically screened against Section 2 before a story is ever written. If it doesn't pass, no story is generated, and:

The first time this happens on your account, you'll see a warning explaining why, with no other consequence.
Every time it happens after that, story generation is locked for your account for 60 minutes.

Separately, nothing you submit for publishing to the public library appears there automatically. Every submission is first screened automatically, then reviewed by an admin, and only appears publicly once approved. This applies every time, with no exceptions, to keep the public library safe and on-topic.

4. Enforcement

Content that violates this policy may be rejected before it is ever generated or published.
Content that violates this policy may be removed after publishing, even if it was previously approved.
A pattern of generation-time violations, beyond the warning and 60-minute locks described in Section 3, may lead to a longer suspension.
Accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate this policy may have publishing privileges revoked, meaning the account can no longer submit content to the public library, or may be suspended from the service entirely.
We use judgment proportionate to the violation. A single minor issue is treated differently from repeated or severe violations.

5. Reporting content

If you come across published content or a public profile that you believe violates this policy, you can report it for review. Reports are reviewed by an admin, and action is taken where warranted under the enforcement rules above.

6. Content from deleted accounts

If you delete your account, stories you previously published to the public library are not automatically taken down. They remain visible, but are re-attributed to "Deleted author" instead of your handle. If you want a published story removed rather than re-attributed, withdraw it from the public library before deleting your account.
