1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Ellinica ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Content Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Account responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Each account is for one person. Sharing an account or creating multiple accounts to evade limits or bans is not allowed.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, via the support ticket system in your Account page.
3. Subscription and billing
Ellinica offers a free tier and paid subscription plans; current plans and pricing are listed on our pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Account page, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you cancel and have not used most of what you paid for, open a support ticket from your Account page and we will refund the unused part of your current period, worked out from the story credits you have left rather than from the days that have passed. On annual plans, whole unused months are refundable and the months you have used are charged at the monthly rate for your plan, so a refund is not available once the months used are worth what you paid. Nothing here limits any refund right you have by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service (including scraping, automated bulk requests, or denial-of-service behavior).
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, story-generation entitlements, or other technical restrictions put in place to keep the service fair and sustainable for everyone.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, non-public areas of the service, or its underlying systems.
- Publish content that violates our Content Policy.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the stories and other content you create using Ellinica. If you choose to publish a story to the public library, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content publicly through the service for as long as it remains published. You can withdraw a published story at any time, which removes it from the public library going forward. All published content is subject to review under our Content Policy before it appears publicly.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove or refuse to publish content, if you violate these Terms or our Content Policy. Where practical we'll try to let you know why, but we reserve the right to act immediately when necessary to protect the service or other users.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Ellinica is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Story content is generated with the help of AI models and, while we aim for accuracy and quality, we cannot guarantee it is error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ellinica and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Ellinica after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
