Greek reading levels (CEFR)

The CEFR scale runs from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery). Each guide below shows what you can read at that level, the grammar involved, and a sample passage.

A1

Beginner

Η Μαρία μένει στην Αθήνα.

A2

Elementary

Χθες πήγαμε στη θάλασσα.

B1

Intermediate

Όταν ήμουν παιδί, περνούσαμε τα καλοκαίρια στο νησί.

B2

Upper intermediate

Αν και είχε αποφασίσει να μην ξαναγυρίσει στο χωριό, κάτι μέσα του τον τραβούσε πίσω: ίσως οι αναμνήσεις, ίσως απλώς η ανάγκη να κλείσει έναν λογαριασμό με το παρελθόν.
